We hope everyone is doing well and had a great summer. We’re writing to
tell you that the Parks Department is planning to restore the skatepark on
Shore Front Parkway at Beach 91st St in Rockaway. They are holding an
on site meeting on Monday, October 4th at 2:30pm to determine the best way
to proceed with the rebuilding of the park. They are inviting local
skaters and bike riders to join them. We are hoping that you might be
available to participate in the planning process. If not, if you know of
any other bike riders or skaters in the area who would want to
participate, please forward this information to them.
Also, the other skate plaza at Beach 9th St. is about to go under
construction. Parks is planning a ground breaking and will be inviting
the local action sports community to it. We’ll keep you posted.
